On Point: The Legacy of Jeff Korba Documentary Film Trailer 002

This is the second movie trailer created for the film "On Point: The Legacy of Jeff Korba." This was created while the film had a working title of "So Close: The Legacy of Jeff Korba."

You may notice the original expected release date was Thanksgiving of 2008. At the time of this trailer the film was planned to be a documentary short with a run time of 20-30 minutes. During production it became obvious with the number of interviews gathered the documentary would support a feature length film and would take longer to produce. The film was near completion in June of 2009 and was screened at Voorhees High School in New Jersey. The final cut of the film that would become the Director's Cut DVD was completed in Early November and the master sent to Whitewater Recording for processing and press/packaging of the DVDs.

Web Commercial for John Isaac Exhibit at Banana Factory

BETHLEHEM, PA—During his three decades as an official United Nations photojournalist and nature photographer, John Isaac has seen the good, the bad and the beautiful in the world. His work has taken him to some of the most spectacular and some of the most desolate places on Earth, from drought and famine-ravaged Ethiopia and the war-torn Middle East, to the majestic peaks of Kashmir and the untamed wilderness of Alaska. Now the public will have the opportunity to see Isaac’s amazing body of work in a new exhibition at the Banana Factory, 25 W. Third St., Bethlehem, Pa., from April 26-June 29.

“John Isaac – Visionary Photographer” features 30 photographs chronicling Isaac’s two decades as an award-winning photojournalist with the UN and 10 years as a nature photographer.  Also included in the show, which is sponsored by Olympus, is a selection of images from his new book, “The Vale of Kashmir,” which will be published by W.W. Norton in fall 2008.

While touching on all periods of Isaac’s career, the exhibit accentuates his current nature and wildlife images, the majority of which have been taken using Olympus digital cameras as part of the Olympus Visionary Program, of which Isaac is a founding member.

“I just want people to be a little bit aware of what is going on today in the world,” Isaac says. “I know that we see in the news the atrocities that are happening all over. At the same time, when you look at it, we tend to forget about the beauty that is surrounding all of us.”

A Spring time Saturday Walk in Chelsea, New York City

I want for a walk on a beautiful Spring day and took the camera along. While out I came across a saxaphone player near Madison Square Garden. I decided to put the video to a short clip of his music.

Note the re-occuring yellow theme of flowers and taxis. This was done simply for the fun and excercise.

Banana Factory 10th Anniversary Celebration Event

The Banana Factory celebrated its 10th anniversary of bringing the arts to the south side of Bethlehem, PA. Jeff Parks took a moment to talk with me about the Banana Factory's first ten years and what is ahead. This center of creativity in a town known for it's shuttered steel mill has fantastic educational facilities and constant activity. This is one of the anchors of the local arts community and a reason the south side has come alive with arts.

In the video I made use of a press conference I shot the same day in the facility. Also you will see clips from my GlassWorks Opening story and a few other ArtsQuest news conferences and events. The staff there has always made covering events easy, interesting and enjoyable.
